Four Class-Action Lawsuits Against CD Projekt Are Combining Into One

Four class-action lawsuits that have been brought against CD Projekt are being consolidated into one. The lawsuits are related to the troubled release of the famous video game Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been at the center of many controversies. Some of the lawsuits allege “CD Projekt violated federal laws by misleading investors over the quality of Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles.” As a result, investors lost money. This new lawsuit also seeks to repair “reputational and pecuniary harm” done to investors due to the game’s removal from Sony’s Playstation Store.

“The court has selected a representative of the opposing party, a law firm representing them and their lead plaintiff – that is the main person representing that claiming party,” said chief financial officer Piotr Nielubowicz said via a translator in the meeting. “As of today, we are not aware of a value of a potential claim. The actual suit shall be filed with the court until the end of June.”

Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing game that was released on several gaming platforms last year. The game averages a 3.3 out of 5 rating according to Google.
