Hasbro Launching A Mario Version Of “The Game Of Life”

Hasbro Gaming recently unveiled it was teaming up with Nintendo. As a result, the two companies will be producing a Mario version of the hit board game The Game of Life.

It is being reported the game will feature four fully-painted pawns. The pawns will represent Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi. The rules of this version of the game will also be slightly different from the traditional game.

“Unlike the classic,” said a Hasbro spokesperson, “this map is not linear. Instead, it’s an open-world experience that gives players the ability to discover items, collect companions, and try different strategies to win the game.”

The game is set to hit stores on August 1st. It will reportedly cost $28.49.

The Profit‘s Take:

This is smart of Hasbro. The only people who remember playing the Game of Life are likely 35+. By integrating Mario, they bring this franchise to a new generation.
