On June 30th, Konami announced it had entered into a “strategic partnership” with the Polish video game developer Bloober Team. The two organizations will work together to create “selected content” for both new and existing game properties.
“It is a historic day for me and the culmination of several years of our work,” said Piotr Babieno, the president of the Bloober Team. “The fact that such a renowned company as KONAMI has decided to strategically cooperate with the Bloober Team means that we also joined the world leaders in gaming and became an equal partner for the leading players in this market.”
This partnership has caused rumors to swirl about a new installment in the Silent Hill video game franchise. At this time, no information about a new Silent Hill IP has been confirmed by either company.
Konami Holdings Corporation is a Japanese entertainment conglomerate that was founded in 1969. The organization is famous for developing video game franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Frogger, and Silent Hill.
