On June 15th, Flash Entertainment and Abu Dhabi Gaming (AD Gaming) announced the two were teaming up to host esports tournaments in the UAE capital. Four events will take place from now through October.
The first event will be a Dota 2 tournament that takes place in July. After that, a PUBG event will be held in August followed by a Fortnite tournament in September and a FIFA 22 series in October.
“As leaders in the region’s entertainment sector we are constantly striving to introduce innovative solutions, leveraging our vast experience and latest entertainment technology, while providing a platform for the region’s emerging talent,” said John Lickrish, the CEO of Flash Entertainment. “This announcement is a big step in an exciting new direction for the region’s entertainment ecosystem. Through our partnership with AD Gaming, these events will lay solid foundations for the gaming and eSports community in Abu Dhabi, the UAE, and wider region to flourish, testing and developing their skills against established eSports stars.”
Many prizes will be featured throughout the tournaments. Besides cash, winners can receive PS5s, international trips, and FIFA Ultimate Team points.
