On June 24th, Microsoft revealed the name for its next Windows release would be Windows 11. According to The Verge, this new operating system will focus on simplifying the user interface, creating a new Windows Store, and making improvements to the system’s performance.
The operating system is expected to offer a number of new gaming-based features. Microsoft announced that one of the system’s biggest improvements is the fact that Xbox Game Pass will be directly available in Windows’ new Xbox app.
Sarah Bond is Xbox’s corporate vice president for game creator experiences and ecosystems. She explained that “Xbox Game Pass will be ‘built right into Windows 11.'”
Just a few days later, the company announced that Xbox’s Cloud Gaming service will now be available to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members with Windows 10 PCs or Apple devices. The company followed this up by revealing it was also expanding its Designed For Xbox mobile gaming accessories to iOS devices.
“With launch products from leading mobile accessories partners and more on the way, we can’t wait to see where fans will take their gaming next,” Xbox said in a blog post.
