On June 10th, Koch Media revealed the company’s brand new video game publishing label: Prime Matter. This label was created so Koch Media could develop original titles and IPs for gamers around the globe.
The new label reportedly has 12 upcoming games set to be released. They are Payday 3, Crossfire: Legion, a new Painkiller game, Kings Bounty 2, Scars Above, Codename Final Form, Gungrave G.O.R.E, Dolmen, The Last Oricru, Echoes Of The End, The Chant, and Encased. It is being reported that seven of these titles are new IPs.
“Games originate from the minds and hearts of the developers. Prime Matter is focused on maximizing this potential from the studios whilst empowering their dream or vision; one of our core values is to enable and support the studios, giving them the chance and freedom to express themselves within their game as they deserve,” said Mario Gerhold, the Global Brand & Marketing Director at Koch Media Group. “Some of the most treasured I.Ps in our industry started out as crowdfunded, or projects outside the mainstream that the developers truly believe in… history has proved that inspiration and talent is not defined by stereotypes.”
Prime Matter is one of five publishing brands being run by Koch Media Group. The other four brands are Deep Silver, Milestone, Vertigo, and Ravenscourt.
