EA Buys Playdemic From WarnerMedia For $1.4B

Electronic Arts Inc. recently announced it had purchased mobile gaming studio Playdemic from WarnerMedia. The deal was reportedly worth $1.4 billion in cash.

In a statement, EA said that this acquisition will allow the company to offer more genres of mobile games. This is expected to include lifestyle games, casual games, mid-core games, and new sports games.

Playdemic is a mobile game development company. The organization’s most popular title, Golf Clash, has been downloaded more than 80 million times over the last four years.

Electronic Arts Inc. is one of the world’s most famous video game companies. EA is responsible for producing some of the biggest games in the world like Madden, FIFA, Battlefield, and Apex Legends.
