Juventus F.C., one of the world’s most famous soccer teams, has officially entered the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This comes after the organization announced it will be making certain forms of digital content available to users across the globe beginning on June 27th.
As part of a collaboration with Adidas, the first item that was auctioned off was a 3D, high-definition representation of the team’s brand new 2021-22 home jersey. This promotional event runs through July 5th.
“Accepting challenges, defining a vision of the future, setting new standards,” the team said in a recent blog post. “This is Live Ahead, the principle that inspires Juventus every day, in every moment. This has now been further confirmed, as the club have now joined the NFT (non-fungible token) universe.”
