Generation Esports recently announced it had partnered with the esports organization the Kansas City Pioneers. This deal aims to bring more gaming opportunities to underprivileged communities throughout Missouri.
“The Kansas City Pioneers is the prime example of the kind of organizations we want to partner with at the local level — not only are they hyper-competitive esports teams, but they also care deeply about their community and making a difference,” said Mason Mullenioux, Generation Esports’ CEO. “Esports brings kids together who might not otherwise have the chance to be a part of a broader community. We are impressed by the progressive understanding shared by KC Pioneers, the city of Kansas City, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City that esports needs to be accessible to anyone and everyone who want to participate.”
To celebrate this new partnership, the organizations came together to hold an Among Us live stream with several special guests. The event took place on August 14th.
The Kansas City Pioneers were founded in 2019. The organization has teams and players competing in Rocket League, Madden NFL, and Halo.
