Overwatch League Playoffs Return To Hawaii

On August 27th, The Overwatch League announced the organization would not be holding live events in Dallas and Los Angeles. Instead, Overwatch League playoff matches will be played at the University of Hawaii’s Manoa campus.

“After six thrilling regional play-in matches, three more teams have punched their ticket to the 2021 Overwatch League Playoffs,” the League said in a blog post. “We now know the final eight teams that will compete in a double-elimination bracket for the ultimate prize: the coveted Overwatch League championship trophy and $1.5 million.”

Eight teams have qualified for the Overwatch League playoffs. They are Shanghai Dragons, Dallas Fuel, Chengdu Hunters, Los Angeles Gladiators, Atlanta Reign, San Francisco Shock, Philadelphia Fusion, and Washington Justice. The Overwatch League Grand Finals are scheduled to take place on September 25th.
