Krafton Shares Plans For Investments Into India’s Esports Ecosystem

Krafton, the developer behind Battlegrounds Mobile India, recently unveiled the company’s investment strategy for India. The organization confirmed it was investing $22.5 million in NODWIN Gaming and an additional $9 million in Loco.

Krafton also announced it cut its IPO target by nearly a quarter on July 1st. The offering is expected to raise $3.8 billion, which is a significant decrease from the original offering which was supposed to raise $4.9 billion.

“Krafton will collaborate with partners to build an esports ecosystem while bringing in-game content regularly, starting with a series of India-specific in-game events at launch, to be announced later,” the company said in an early May interview.

Krafton is a South Korean-based video game holding company located in Seongnam. The company was founded in 2007 and is most famous for developing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, or PUBG.
