A new report showed that Tencent’s PUBG Mobile was the top-grossing mobile game in the world for the second consecutive month. According to the research, which was conducted by Sensor Tower, gamers spent roughly $270 million on PUBG Mobile in August. This signifies a 4.7% increase in spending year-over-year.
Tencent also had the second-highest-grossing mobile game in the month of August. Sensor Tower reports that Honor of Kings generated $256.2 million in gross revenues during August of this year.
Additionally, the survey showed that gamers in the United States generated $2.1 billion in mobile gaming revenues. This makes up 28% of all player spending around the globe. Japan was the second-largest mobile gaming market followed by China.
