Loopify and Aizea have raised $25 million for their new play-to-earn, MMORPG game, Treeverse. Treeverse will be the newest game in the blockchain gaming line, one that will allow users to deploy NFTs in an open and interactive world.
“Treeverse will be one of the first playable MMORPGs where you can exchange assets earned in-game for NFTs and also earn our native currency that runs the world,” Loopify said in a press release. “Treeverse will be very community-centric and will have a unique art style compared to other traditional games. I think this is what will attract other users and keep our community involved. This community-driven focus has blossomed from the fact that NFTrees went from being a project to a “full-blown metaverse.”
They also released their first official NFTs on August 1st, a collection of 10,420 private plots of land at $520 each, which sold out in an hour. This land, named “Founders’ Private Plot”, has now done over $20 million in secondary volume and is trading at $7,000 per plot.
The highly anticipated Treeverse was designed with a retro style that will remind gamers of Pokemon or Runescape. The game is set to be released in early 2022.
