Ninjas in Pyjamas recently announced it had teamed up with the investment platform Aser Ventures. As a result of this deal, the two organizations have launched a joint venture called Shinobi Sports. This will offer suite management and studio/media services to traditional sports teams looking to join the professional gaming space.
Danny Menken has previously served as the Group Chief Business Development Officer of Aser Ventures. Now, in addition to that position, Menken will also be the CEO of Shinobi Sports.
“Aser Ventures has deep expertise in media rights, production, and content distribution,” Menken said in an announcement. “Ninjas in Pyjamas has a 20-year track record of leading the way in esports. By bringing these capabilities together, Shinobi Sports will offer a compelling proposition to clubs looking to capitalize on the opportunities now associated with esports.”
Shinobi Sports will be tasked with fulfilling the needs of many sports teams. This will include maximizing commercial and fan engagement, launching esports teams, and helping businesses develop gaming and team management strategies.
