Reports Indicate A “Critical Role” Game Is In The Works

Variety recently did a feature on the hit web series Critical Role. In this piece, it was revealed that a Critical Role video game may be in the works.

According to Variety, Critical Role has had early-stage talks with several video game publishers and studios. This report was later confirmed by Matthew Cohen, an agent in CAA’s games department, who said, “we have to be very particular about what that means and who the partners are.”

Not much is known about the game or what it will be like. Additionally, Critical Role cast member Liam O’Brien explained that fans should not expect the project to come out any time soon. He said making a game “takes forever, especially if you want it to be something great.”

Critical Role is an American web series based around the hit tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons. The show, which is comprised of three different seasons, was first launched in March of 2015.
