G2 Esports announced that it is expanding its sales territory for consumer products to China and is including a bunch of new products to celebrate their big move. These products will be available to purchase through T-Mall and Taobao and include an official G2 China Jersey, the G2 2021 Pro Kit, and much more including a collaboration with Adidas.
The announcement follows G2’s official Weibo account reaching 1 million followers in early November, after initially launching said account on the Chinese social platform in 2019. China’s esports ecosystem continues to develop rapidly, evidenced by other large entities like the ePremier League and BLAST having also expanded into the region.
The esports fan base in China is projected to reach more than 400 million, according to the state-run People’s Daily. The latest figures also show the esports sector in China is already worth $26 billion, as the industry continues to grow.
This year has been a productive time for G2 Esports. Alongside securing partnerships with Bondly and Betway, the organization has revealed several fashion collaborations alongside New Era, Ralph Lauren, and Adidas.
