Report: Washington Justice Parent Company No Longer Planning To Acquire NRG Esports’ “Call Of Duty” League Spot

According to recent rumors, Washington Esports Ventures, which is the parent company of the Washington Justice, has ended discussions that would see the organization acquire NRG Esports’ Call of Duty League slot. This information was first reported by Twitter user “Unscriipted” and later confirmed by Jacob Wolf of Dot Esports.

Washington Esports Ventures had reportedly been taking part in negotiations that would have seen the organization acquire one of the 12 CDL slots. Additionally, if acquired, reports indicate the Chicago CDL franchise would’ve been relocated to Washington D.C.

The Washington Justice is a professional Overwatch team that is based in Washington D.C. The organization has been a member of The Overwatch League since 2019.
