EQ Reveals Plans For Gaming Development Programs For Young People

The esports venture EQ recently unveiled its plans to create career and skill development opportunities for young people. These programs were announced at Esports Insider‘s Oxford Street Pop-up event, which took place on October 9th.

“EQ is not just another business to me, it is an extension of me. I wasn’t blessed with a high IQ but I make things happen because I believe emotional intelligence mobilizes ideas and inspires people,” said EQ’s Chris Bird. “This is a long-term project for me, there is no quick fix as I am determined to bridge the gap between the commercial focus and the social opportunities and needs and this will take time, investment, and determination.”

According to a press release, the project aims to allow young people a chance to explore the world of gaming and esports “beyond the screen.” Through these programs, the company will encourage learning and cognition in younger gamers, making them more employable and ready for the challenges that exist in today’s esports scene.
