The Esports Combine 2021 Exceeds Expectations

The Esports Combine 2021 was recently held in Indiana. The three-day-long event, which ran from October 15th to the 17th, exceeded expectations in terms of attendance.

Over 14,000 people attended the event virtually, representing 160 universities and 450 high schools around the United States. This signifies a massive increase in participation from 2020, where the combine rewarded over 500 scholarships.

“The Combine is a glimpse into the vast potential esports has and what millions of gamers in the world are capable of,” said Bill Dever, President of Indiana Esports Development. “The event was a massive success by every metric and an even bigger accomplishment for the industry as a whole. This is just the beginning for esports. It’s only going up from here.”
