Manchester United goalie David de Gea recently announced he was launching an esports company called Rebels Gaming. According to a press release, the organization will initially compete in League of Legends, VALORANT, and Rainbow Six Siege.
“The launch of Rebels Gaming within esports is another dream come true,” said de Gea. “It is a project that aims to instill to the new generations of young people the main values that have accompanied me since my beginnings in professional football, within a framework of innovation and unparalleled technological development.”
Rebels Gaming also plans on creating a house for its roster of content creators and streamers. Additionally, the organization will have its own training facility located in Madrid, Spain.
