Collaboration With Marshmello Returns To “Fortnite”

Marshmello skins have returned to Fortnite. On December 14th, Marshmello skins and other types of merchandise were once again made available in Fortnite for a limited time. These items could only be acquired on the 14th by players who had previously purchased other Marshmello x Fortnite skins in the past.

A Marshmello skin and cosmetics were released in the Fortnite shop along with “showtime” rewards and challenges. Some of the rewards that were included in this bundle were “Keep it Mello” emotes, a “Marshy Smasher” pickaxe, and a “Mello Made It Right” spray. Players could acquire these extras by completing challenges and locating showtime posters around the Fortnite map.

2019 marked the first official collaboration between the video game and the musical artist. Since then, Fortnite has joined forces with several other celebrities like Ariana Grande, LeBron James, and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins.

The Profit‘s Take:

This is the second time that Marshmello has teamed up with Fortnite. I am curious to see if this does better or worse than the first collaboration between these two parties. In my opinion, this won’t do as well as their first collab, given the steady decline of Fortnite’s playerbase. It’s just a gold Marshmello helmet… it seems pretty uninspired to me.
