$6.5M Raised By Rainmaker Games In Funding Round

On December 9th, Rainmaker Games announced the organization had closed a $6.5 million funding round. This money will reportedly be used to help expand the company’s offering of play-to-earn games while allowing for the creation of an NFT lending and borrowing marketplace.

Some of the main contributors in this financing round were Polygon Studios, CoinFund, and Animoca Brands. Additional participation came from Republic Realm, Merit Circle, and Skyvision Capital.

“We are thrilled to support Rainmaker as they make their innovative vision for the blockchain gaming space a reality,” said Evan Feng, Coinfund’s director of research. “By building a platform that services gamers, guilds, and developers, Rainmaker has a concept for the future of gaming that redefines what is possible.”

Rainmaker Games is a free-to-use global platform that provides access to hundreds of NFT and play-to-earn games. According to the CEO, Will Deane, the organization was founded to make it easier for individuals to enter the NFT and P2E gaming markets.
