Action Network recently released a study analyzing the esports earnings from the top 500 gamers in America over the last two decades. Based on this data, California saw the most esports earnings at $21.5 million. This signified 17% of the $126.2 million brought in by American gamers over the last 20 years.
Texas came in second place at $12.1 million. Pennsylvania was third with $8.5 million. On the list, the state with the lowest earnings was Delaware, which only saw $976,000 over the last two decades.
Action Network also announced the top-earning games in the U.S. over the last 20 years. Call of Duty came in first place at $28.4 million, narrowly beating out Fortnite at $26.8 million.
