Riot Games recently unveiled plans for the VALORANT Champions Tour esports ecosystem. This strategy reportedly involves the introduction of VALORANT Regional Leagues (VRL).
The EMEA’s 2022 VCT structure will feature brand new VALORANT Regional Circuits. There are expected to be eight VRLs featuring players from regions like Spain, France, UK, Ireland, Poland, Turkey, Nordics, Eastern Europe, the CIS region, the MENA region, and the DACH region.
Each league will be comprised of two stages run throughout the year. This includes a regular season as well as a playoff. The stage one winners of each VRL will qualify for the VCT Promotion Tournament, where participants will have a chance to compete for a spot in VCT EMEA Stage 2. Stage 2 winners automatically qualify for the VRL EMEA Finals.
The 2022 VRL season begins on January 24th with qualifying rounds. The first split will take place the week of February 14th.
