On December 10th, Sony Corporation’s gaming division announced it had agreed to buy Valkyrie Entertainment, the company behind God of War. The deal was for an undisclosed amount of money.
This move marks the fifth acquisition by Sony this year alone. The other companies that it has acquired include Nixxes Software, Housemarque, Bluepoint Games, and Firesprite.
Valkyrie is a Seattle, Washington-based video game developer that was founded in 2002. The organization is famous for producing God of War, inFAMOUS, and Twisted Metal.
