Xbox Is Working With TV Manufacturers To Bring Cloud Gaming To Your Screen

Xbox Cloud Gaming is coming soon to smart TVs, meaning all you’ll need to play the latest Xbox games is your big screen and a controller. This was confirmed by Xbox boss Phil Spencer in an interview with GQ, where he explained that Microsoft is currently working with TV manufacturers to make Xbox Cloud Gaming a reality for smart TVs.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is currently supported on PC, iPhone, and Android, and even on Xbox One (though the latter is currently in testing). It allows Xbox Game Pass Unlimited subscribers to stream games to the devices of their choice and play them with a connected controller.

The biggest hurdle to clear for Xbox Cloud Gaming will be working with TV makers to ensure that Xbox controllers can connect directly to the televisions. Many TVs have Bluetooth capabilities, which is technically all that is needed to connect a newer Xbox controller. There’s also the option for a USB dongle that could be plugged into a TV which can act as a wireless adapter for said controllers.

Once Xbox works out that connection issue with TV manufacturers, Xbox Cloud Gaming will likely be off to the races on smart TVs.
