A question was recently posed on the competitive Apex Legends subreddit community r/CompetitiveApex. On December 24th, user u/Gunnarglad simply asked “what’s the strongest region in the world right now?” To everybody’s surprise, Gunnarglad got a straightforward answer from one of the highest officials at Apex.
“It’s typically considered to be EU because they practice the most and consistently are ahead of the meta in regards to other regions. They also aren’t so top-heavy, there are a lot of top teams that are closer in skill whereas other regions have less teams at that level,” wrote u/Father_Law_FH.
Things became very interesting after a response to this comment was posted. The user u/ricklesauceur, who has been verified as the lead software engineer for Respawn, agreed with the comment, simply saying “pretty much.”
The argument about which region has the best competitive Apex Legends scene is always up for debate. However, right now, it appears the game’s developers believe the EU is the best region in the world for competitive play.
