CommercialCafe recently released a list of the top ten American cities for gamers. Coming in first place was Los Angeles, followed by Miami, Austin, Dallas, and Boston. In 6th through 10th place were Phoenix, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Milwaukee, and Chicago.
Many factors went into devising this list. Cities were judged based upon the number of gaming conventions held there, the number of available gaming scholarships, gaming establishment density, internet speed, broadband subscriptions, and the number of available computing devices.
Los Angeles, California featured the most gaming conventions. Chicago, Miami, and Phoenix were tied for most available gaming scholarships. Miami had the highest gaming establishment density. Austin, Texas placed first in broadband subscriptions and internet speed. Meanwhile, Phoenix, Arizona was the best city in the country in terms of available computing devices.
