Indian Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) team OR Esports has announced a partnership with KFC India, which will see the fast-food chain become its “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” sponsor for 2022. Additionally, KFC will become a streaming partner, be integrated into team jerseys, and create a digital avatar of Colonel Sanders. The collaboration will also enable KFC India to engage with the local esports audiences through BGMI while converting them into loyal customers.
“KFC is always open to collaborating with culturally relevant partners, in a way that’s distinctive,” said Moksh Chopra, Chief Marketing Officer of KFC India. “E-gamers and KFC fans in India share commonalities of being passionate, youthful, and innovative. Hence, we’re excited to announce our partnership with OR Esports, one of India’s most exciting mobile gaming teams. Being the first WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner) sponsor sounds pretty epic. And what better way to celebrate a great game of BGMI than a bucket of KFC’s hot and crispy chicken dinner! Now, that’s what I call Finger clickin’ good.”
OR Esports launched in 2019 and is part of the PTW (Pole To Win) Group. OR Esports is the only Indian team to have a podium finish at a Global Championship for PUBG mobile. The team also came second at the PUBG Mobile World East Championship in 2020.
