Riot Donating Over $2M To Underserved Los Angeles Communities

Riot Games recently announced it was donating over $2 million to the SoLa Impact’s I Can Foundation. This organization was created to help bring technological improvements to underserved educational programs in southern Los Angeles.

“By offering a variety of courses to close the digital divide, we hope to inspire a new generation of underrepresented students to pursue careers in STEM [science, technology, engineering, and mathematics] fields,” Riot Games said in a statement.

Riot’s contributions will help fund the development of SoLa’s Technology and Entrepreneurship Center. The 14,000-square-foot venue, which will offer esports-related courses to over 1000 local students annually, opened its doors this month.
