On January 24th, the Kansas City Pioneers announced they had agreed to a partnership with the video game wagering data platform PLLAY Labs. This deal will see the two parties collaborate on multiple projects aimed at enhancing fan engagement and monetization experiences.
“As an entertainment and media company, we strive to build and create unique moments for our community. Our partnership with PLLAY is the first of its kind and will be a trendsetter for other sports organizations,” said the CEO of the Kansas City Pioneers, Mark Josey. “We know our community loves competition between our professional teams but also competitions between themselves. PLLAY is a perfect fit for our Pioneers community, [so] look forward to our upcoming activations stemming across new gaming spaces.”
The two companies have already outlined some of the fan experiences they will launch together. This will include a range of online and live events to amplify content creation. Additionally, this deal will allow the Pioneers to use PLLAY’s wagering data platform and token economy to create NFT-focused activations.
