The Turkey And MENA Gaming Sector Recorded Over $6B In Revenue

According to data collected by RedSeer, gaming revenues in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey rose by 15% to hit $6.5 billion in 2021. Moreover, RedSeer expects this trend “to grow further as the sector’s dynamics and consumer preferences continue to be addressed.” The UAE and Saudi Arabia are believed to be the fastest-growing gaming markets in this part of the world.

“Companies have witnessed an increase in active and paying users, which may be attributed to both new users and those who had previously left and returned to these platforms,” RedSeer said. “Furthermore, gaming platforms have enabled players to socialize and network with friends and co-workers from the comfort and security of their own homes.”

The global gaming market was valued at $175.8 billion in 2021 according to Newzoo. Individuals from the MENA region reportedly comprise 15% of the world’s gamers.
