Aramark has reached an agreement with Monumental Sports & Entertainment to provide hospitality services for District E Powered by Ticketmaster, a soon-to-be-completed 14,000-square foot venue in Washington DC that will house esports competitions, music, community events, and more.
District E will be located near Capital One Arena in the Penn Quarter neighborhood of DC, where the Washington Wizards and the Washington Capitals play. In addition to an esports competition studio and practice area, it will house a bar and restaurant run by Aramark.
“As Aramark’s first foray into the rapidly-growing esports space, this is an exciting opportunity to showcase our expertise in food and beverage innovation to esports fans while also creating jobs and further building Aramark’s presence in the Greater Washington Metropolitan region,” said Alison Birdwell, the CEO of Aramark Sports and Entertainment.
The venue is expected to be completed in fall 2022.
