Konami Holdings recently announced the organization saw an increase in both revenue and profit during a nine-month period that concluded on December 31st, 2021. During this time, Konami recorded a 12.0% increase in year-on-year revenues ($1.87 billion) as well as a 57% increase in profits ($368.6 million).
Konami’s Gaming & Systems division contributed immensely to this growth. Revenues grew by 58.9% ($162.5 million) for the division while profits hit $21.9 million.
“Although the spread of COVID-19 could impact on our future business activities, the market is recovering gradually due to vaccine rollout,” Konami said. “We are working hard to strengthen our product appeal and increase profitability to address the future demand recovery.”
The company is also aiming to expand its product range further into the North American and Australian markets over the next 12 months. Moreover, Konami will introduce new functionalities to its SYNKROS casino management system in order to prevent future attempts at money laundering.
