Basara Creates A Series Of Gamer-Ready Apartments

It has never been a better time to be a gamer in Japan. Not only do you have access to the most up-to-date peripherals and accessories, but you also can find a place to live that is immediately suited for your gaming lifestyle. This comes after the Japanese esports company Basara recently launched a line of apartments for gamers called e-rooms.

These facilities come with everything a serious gamer needs in a living space. This includes a gaming PC with a high-tech monitor, mouse, and keyboard, a gaming desk, and a gaming chair. The technology used in each e-room varies based upon how much the unit’s rent costs. The beginner plan will get you a GeForce GTX1650 PC with an Intel Core i7 processor and 480GB of SSD. The other option is the elite plan which features a GeForce RTX3070Ti PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor and 1TB of SSD.

For those with interests outside of gaming, there are other plans too. The illustrator plan was designed for digital artists while the video creator plan best serves visual content creators. Both of these plans have apartments that feature PCs, drawing tablets, and monitor arms.

Basara currently offers two buildings full of e-rooms located in Sendai, Japan. Rent for beginner apartments costs roughly $340 while elite apartments will run you about $600. Applications for these e-rooms will open sometime early next month.

The Profit‘s Take:

This is turnkey. You walk in and everything’s there. I feel like we have gamified everything else, so why not the place you live? This feels kind of smart. You can call this another trend in home décor. Instead of an apartment with an “open plan,” it’s a gamer apartment. This is a style venture more than anything. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this idea come to North America.
