On February 16th, The Sandbox announced it had agreed to a partnership with Chain Games in a deal that will see NFTs developed by Chain Games integrated into The Sandbox’s metaverse experiences. This collaboration will provide users with cross-platform interoperable NFTs in both the Chain Games and The Sandbox ecosystems.

Chain Games is a blockchain gaming organization that operates on web 3.0 platforms. Chain Games is best-known for creating SmartContests, a contract-based competition system where payers can faceoff with one another to earn token-based winnings. These SmartContests Gaming Contracts are currently being utilized in several titles including the blockchain-integrated cross-platform racing game Super Crypto Kart, which will now be available to play on The Sandbox platform.
