On March 8th, US Sports Camps announced it had joined forces with George Fox University to launch a series of esports camps for the Spring and Summer. Through the George Fox University esports program, campers will improve their gaming skills while learning about topics from the collegiate esports scene like health, gaming strategies, and so much more.
Six half-day esports clinics will take place during this year’s Spring Break which runs from March 21st to the 26th. Each day will be made up of a standalone session that features an informative seminar as well as time for gaming. During the summer, the two parties will organize week-long camps that provide more development, practice, and gameplay for young gamers.
“George Fox is excited to partner with US Sports for esports,” said Miles Dean, the head coach of the GFU esports program. “US Sports’ commitment to youth enrichment for the past 47 years providing a foundation of growth and success while kicking off George Fox’s inaugural STEM spring, summer & winter camps in 2022. We are excited to introduce teen gamers in the Portland, OR area to esports.
George Fox University is a private Christian institution located in Newberg, Oregon. Between its main campus and three satellite campuses, there are over 4,000 students enrolled at the school.
