The licensing rights company OneTeam Partners recently agreed to a partnership with the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Player Association (LCSPA) in a deal that will allow North American pro and academy players to manage and commercialize their group rights. This partnership will give LCS players the chance to license themselves in ways similar to traditional athletes. Additionally, this agreement will create a group licensing deal for LCS players.

“The size of the LCS fanbase places it among the biggest traditional sports in North America, and their players deserve to have the same business opportunities as their stick and ball counterparts,” said Marty Strenczewilk, the Head of Competitive Gaming for OneTeam.

Based on a press release, LCS pros and academy players that are members of the LCSPA will be allowed to opt-in to a group rights program. Moreover, OneTeam will administer the program to provide a range of licensing options for LCS gamers.

OneTeam Partners is a company that was founded by the NFL and MLB Players Associations in 2019. The organization represents players in commercial deals, marketing, media, investing, licensing, and more.
