Executive Shares Insight Into The Gaming Discussion Taking Place On Twitter

On April 5th, Rishi Chadha, the Head of Creator & Gaming Content Partnerships for Twitter, shared some new insights into the evolving gaming conversation that is taking place on the world-famous social media platform. Some of the topics discussed included new data on popular games, gaming teams, players, and more.

Chadha revealed that 800 million gaming-related tweets were sent out during the first quarter of this year. This means that Twitter is on track to generate 2.4 billion gaming-focused tweets in 2022, breaking the record that was set last year.

Unsurprisingly, Genshin Impact was the most tweeted about game so far this year. Coming in second place was Wordle. Some of the other games that made their way into the top ten included Apex Legends, Final Fantasy, Elden Ring, and Minecraft.

Twitter data also showed that the top three most tweeted about gaming organizations were LOUD, FaZe Clan, and Fnatic. Meanwhile, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo was the most talked-about esports athlete on Twitter during Q1 2022.
