Global Esports Federation Partners With IMG

The Global Esports Federation (GEF) recently unveiled a partnership with the world-famous talent management company IMG (International Management Group). This deal will see the two sides work together on numerous events to increase and expand GEF’s esports portfolio. This will include providing support for the Commonwealth Esports Championships as well as the Global Esports Games.

“We are proud to welcome IMG to our Global Esports family. This is an important strategic partnership, not only for the GEF and IMG, but for players, fans, and brands around the world,” said Lorenzo Giorgetti, the Chair of the GEF Brand, Marketing, and Communications Commission. “We look forward to creating tremendous value for the GEF and our worldwide properties together.”

IMG and the GEF first partnered with each other during the inaugural Global Esports Games which took place last year in Singapore. IMG worked as a consultant for the GEF on that project.

IMG has created several meaningful partnerships in the video game industry. In the past, the organization has partnered with brands like Gen.G and PGL.
