Konami announced that its last financial year, spanning April 2021 to March 2022, was the company’s most profitable year in its long history. Konami reported an operating profit of $577 million and a net of approximately $425 million.
The company released 18 video games during the year, which include the popular Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel and Dance Dance Revolution.
Around 72% of Konami’s total revenue came from video game sales, despite a small target audience and declining numbers in the West.
It should be interesting to see how Konami attempts to grow these numbers in the West, which have declined since Hideo Kojima left the company after 30 years in 2015.
