The Global Esports Federation (GEF) has launched the GEF Metaverse Council, a new body that will help pursue metaverse-related opportunities for all members of its organization. The company said in a press release that “the new metaverse council will aid in convening thought leaders and creators pioneering the Web.3.0 ecosystem.”
“We’ve established the GEF Metaverse Council to cultivate ideas, voice, and shape to our metaverse reality; and to access the limitless opportunities for our entire #worldconnected community,” said Paul J. Foster, CEO of the GEF.
The GEF Metaverse Council will be chaired by Hugo Philion, Founder and CEO of Flare Network, with Melvin Kuek, Senior Advisor of the GEF, as the newly-appointed Vice-Chair.
