eFuse Acquires Esports Media Outlet

On May 31st, eFuse announced it had acquired the international gaming media outlet Esports.GG. At this time the financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, but it is reportedly eFuse’s largest acquisition to date.

“In 2021, eFuse recorded so much growth across our branded eRena tournaments and league business that we acquired Esports.GG to help create a central destination for our jam-packed calendar,” said Matthew Benson, the CEO of eFuse. “Esports.GG is going to help accelerate revenue opportunities by introducing original content formats and around-the-clock coverage of our biggest events. We’re set for a record-breaking year, and thrilled to welcome their help in reimagining how we work with the market’s top brands.”

This deal will allow Esports.GG to maintain editorial independence covering all esports market news. Additionally, this deal will see Esports.GG create a new content section on its website that will provide all the latest data and information that comes out of eFuse events.

Moreover, eFuse will begin integrating its high school, collegiate, influencer, and professional events onto the Esports.GG platform over the coming months. eFuse will also help Esports.GG provide coverage of offline events and esports-related careers.

eFuse is a Columbus, Ohio-based video game start-up company that was founded in 2018. This organization aims to provide easy access points to those interested in becoming members of the fast-growing esports industry.
