It certainly sounds like E3 will be returning next year. According to Stan Pierre-Louis, the president of the Entertainment Software Association (the entity that organizes and presents E3), E3 will be coming back next year with both a digital and in-person event.
In an interview with The Washington Post, Pierre-Louis said, “We’re excited about coming back in 2023 with both a digital and an in-person event. As much as we love these digital events, and as much as they reach people and we want that global reach, we also know that there’s a really strong desire for people to convene.”
This will be a welcome change since the E3 conference was canceled in 2022, making it the second time the event had been canceled in the last three years.
Unfortunately, we don’t yet know when the conference will be taking place in 2023. But, we can assume that it will once again be held in Los Angeles, California since LA served as E3’s host city from 1995 to 2019.
Either way, it sounds like we will finally have an in-person E3 conference to look forward to for the first time since the COVID-19 Pandemic started.
