Hollywood Gaming Purchases And Revives Zombie Dogz

The popular Zombie Dogz food truck, a longtime favorite in the Dayton, Ohio area, is staying local after Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway purchased the business. Zombie Dogz is now located in the casinos new outdoors space, the Sunset Patio Bar, where guests can eat, drink, and even partake in karaoke. The menu will remain unchanged, although Hollywood Gaming plans to start rotating and featuring new and exciting specials.

“Zombie Dogz was an extremely popular Dayton favorite in food trucks,” said Jennifer Woffindale, Director of Marketing at Hollywood Gaming. “The cult following that it has as well as the tie to old Hollywood horror movies, made it an easy decision. Also, we didn’t want to see the truck close or leave the area, so we thought it was a win-win situation.”

Zombie Dogz had fallen on hard times following the closure of their brick-and-mortar location due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in May 2020. In October 2021, the food truck was forced to end its season early, though it was never explicitly stated why. But after a seven-month hiatus, diners finally have their beloved hot dogs back.

Woffindale added that Hollywood Gaming team members plan to stay true to the former owner’s genius, following his recipes exactly. She added that Zombie Dogz will also be available for private events.

Zombie Dogz is open 4:00 – 9:00 PM Friday and Saturday, and Noon – 5:00 PM Sunday, weather permitting.
