Animoca Brands Continues To Be A Force In The Gaming Industry Following Latest Acquisitions

Animoca Brands recently acquired Notre Game s.r.o and Darewise Entertainment. Animoca will work with Notre Game to bring its new innovative collectible mobile card game (Scratch Lords) to market. Meanwhile, Darewise will use Animoca Brands to accelerate the organization’s game development plans while helping integrate web3 mechanics like blockchain gaming, NFTs, and play-to-earn gaming capabilities.

“We were impressed by the innovation and boldness that Notre Game demonstrated with its physical-virtual hybrid game model,” said Yat Siu, the co-founder of Animoca Brands. “The company has a solid team with strong leadership and the kind of experience and mindset that we are looking for in our mission to contribute to the establishment of the open metaverse.”

Following these acquisitions, Animoca Brands said that its investment portfolio now features 340 blockchain and gaming-focused companies. To date, Animoca Brands has invested over $1.5 billion into these organizations.

Founded in 2014, Animoca Brands has emerged as one of the most recognizable venture capital investment firms in the gaming world today. This private company currently trades on the Australian Stock exchange. The Sandbox, Grease Monkey games, and nWay are just some of the companies owned by Animoca.
