Lanzadera has launched an esports innovation hub together with Encom, PlayStation, Mapfre, and Monster Energy. The goal of the project is to support and finance entrepreneurs with projects that promote new solutions or products concentrated on improving the experience of esports events. Any start-up is welcome to join this initiative and compete.
“This exciting world is constantly changing, something that allows a great influx of innovative ideas,” said Roberto Yeste, Head of Public Relations, Partnerships and New Business of PlayStation Iberia. “This hub focused on driving esports is an opportunity for studios, startups and developers to show and carry out their ideas hand in hand with large companies in the industry. We look forward to discovering the great talent that we are sure we will see in all the proposals.”
The innovation hub will be a spot for people to share knowledge and value projects relating to esports tournaments and events. This includes improving monetization, improving interaction of attendees in the competition to improve their experience, and use technologies that will increase the value of video games.
Selected start-ups will get support from the participating companies, which will help them in the development and execution of their respective project(s). Start-ups will receive funding for their projects and be given a work space in Lanzadera.
The registration period is now open and the competition will run through September to December of this year.
