The Skyesports Champions Series (SCS) has come to a close after an exciting month of competitive VALORANT. More than 300 teams registered to take part in the Road to VCT 2022 event. In the end, Global Esports took home the title after defeating Enigma Gaming 3-2 in the finals.
The SCS broke viewership records for VALORANT esports in South Asia, amassing a total of more than 10 million people. The Hindi stream on June 3rd, featuring matches between Enigma Gaming and Orangutan along with the VAL Classico clash between Global Esports and Velocity Gaming, topped 1 million views on YouTube. This was the first time ever a VALORANT stream in South Asia has accomplished such a feat.
“The viewership numbers are a testimony to the quality of the event and the reach that Skyesports possesses,” said Shiva Nandy, the Co-Founder of Skyesports. “The growth of VALORANT esports in the region has been phenomenal and we are thankful to have played a major role in this. With the support of Riot Games, the future is looking even brighter. I wish the best of luck to Global Esports and Enigma Gaming, who will be representing the region in the VCT APAC Challengers.”
The SCS was broadcast on Rooter, YouTube, and Twitch in Hindi, English, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil.
Skyesports also produced South Asia Arise, the official music video for the SCS, which currently has more than 690,000 views on YouTube.
