Tencent has revealed that the Tencent Global Esports Summit 2022 will take place from July 26th to the 27th, the first time ever that it will run for more than a single day. The theme for this year’s event is “Asia” with a spotlight on the AeSF/Asian Games. The summit will be held in Hangzhou, China.
The announcement comes at a time when the Asian market and esports industry are growing at a breakneck pace, with many countries looking to grow their presence in the esports ecosystem.
Tencent also revealed that this year’s event will feature detailed roadmap discussions for the rest of 2022. This includes talks of plans and schedules for tournaments, as well as more region-specific information on China and its grand esports plans.
