Noah Davis, the head of digital sales at Christie’s partially responsible for the monumental NFT boom that has been going on over the last few years, recently announced he would be leaving the company to work for CryptoPunks. According to The Art Newspaper, Davis will become a brand lead for Yuga Labs, the company that recently acquired CryptoPunks.
“I really can’t overstate how incredible this journey out of the old Art World and into Web3 has been and I can’t wait to see where the road ahead leads… I only know it will continue to be wild and weird,” Davis said in a Twitter thread. “And I like it that way. Onward, upward and Long Live the Punks.”
During his time with Christie’s, Davis helped orchestrate the historic $69.3 million sale of Beeple’s Everydays NFTs. According to ARTnews, Davis almost “singlehandedly helped create the rabid NFT market of 2021.” He also recently became a famous influencer following the creation of his own NFT project dubbed HOWLERZ.
